This project focused on redesigning and systemizing a cross-platform webshop solution (Web, iOS & Android) for B2B clients in the food tech industry across Germany, Denmark, Great Britain, Poland, Austria and Ireland. The goal was to improve user flows, strengthen conversion at critical touchpoints, and support long-term scalability through building a robust scalable design system.
Design tasks which I had and completed::
Designed end-to-end user flows and interface sections across platforms, including: Checkout & Payment, Menu Navigation, Sign-In, Pre-order, Opening Hours,Push Notifications, Migration Banners, Error States, Opt-in, Forcing Update, Imprint, and more
Created VAT settings UI and a streamlined Client Dashboard for the Admin panel
Contributed 90% of design system components, building the foundation for scalable, maintainable UI.
Conducted deep UX research, identifying critical usability bugs - some of which were costing the company tens of thousands of euros daily. Designed strategic UX improvements, directly contributing to daily revenue growth in the thousands of euros
Proposed and implemented 16 detailed process improvement ideas based on research, stakeholder input, and product gaps

Project note from Ilya
I sharpened my skills in UX analysis and connected those insights directly to design hypotheses and feature improvements. I gained a much better understanding of how to cover edge cases by design. As example, in address flows which are unexpectedly complex. I saw firsthand how  localization is crucial for usability across  various markets. Also I created a scalable design system

UX and analytics

As part of this project, I conducted deep UX research using real anonimized user session recordings, feedback logs, competitor apps and stakeholder interviews. My goal was to uncover hidden friction points, usability issues, and overlooked edge cases across core user flows.

• Researched competitor apps on EU market;

• Collaborated closely with the marketing team and product owner to conduct in-depth research on the nuances of EU markets - uncovering cultural, legal, and behavioral insights that informed design decisions, copy tone, and regional UX patterns.

• I compiled a structured list of 34+ UX and functional bugs, categorized by impact and priority. Some of these issues directly affected conversion and revenue - including blockers in checkout, unclear error messages, and layout inconsistencies on mobile.

• This research not only highlighted what wasn’t working, but also shaped design hypotheses that led to measurable improvements. It helped align the team on user pain points and laid the groundwork for UX-driven iteration across platforms.

• Formulated two basic personas to dive deep into JTBDs of product I designing.

Redesigned flows and features

• I refined the menu navigation, adress flow and redesigned item cards for faster decision-making, introducing clearer product hierarchies, dietary filters, and more intuitive modifiers for custom orders.

• In the ordering and basket flows, I simplified item editing, improved upsell visibility, and reduced friction when switching between delivery and pickup options. I reworked the checkout experienceby minimizing steps and clarifying delivery/payment details - all tailored to regional expectations in the UK, Denmark, Poland, and Germany.

• For marketing opt-ins, I redesigned the consent experience and made A/B testing to be clear yet conversion-friendly, ensuring compliance with GDPR while supporting re-engagement strategies. These improvements, combined with detailed UX bug reports and insights, contributed to a daily revenue increase of over €10,000.

• Designed banner system to increase coverage of promo actions.

I developed over 90% of the core UI components and usage guidelines - including spacing, typography, color tokens, states, and interactive patterns. The system ensured visual and functional consistency across platforms and enabled faster, more scalable product development. It also served as the foundation for onboarding new designers and improving design–dev handoff.

One of the most complex and interesting components I developed was the dish item card. Due to the high number of properties required (e.g., modifiers, tags, availability states, pricing formats, localization), it resulted in over 720 variants. Building it pushed the limits of structured component logic and helped define scalable patterns across the system.

My work resulted in over €10,000 in additional daily revenue, faster development cycles, and a consistent user experience across regions.
